The 2015 Australian Graduate Survey conducted as part of the Government’s QILT data provides great insight into the employability of a University’s graduates compared to national averages. According to this survey, 83.9% of CSU undergraduates were able to find full-time employment in the four months after gradating which is significantly higher than the 69.5% national average.
This was also seen for postgraduate students, with 91.5% able to find full-time employment compared to the 83.5% average across universities in Australia. Overall employment, which includes both full-time and part-time for undergraduate and postgraduate students were 88.6% and 95.8%, respectively and higher than national averages.
In terms of the median salary that can be expected after completing an undergraduate courses at Charles Sturt University, the survey showed that the median per year was $60,000, which is higher than the national average of $56,000. For postgraduate students, once a course is complete, the median salary for Charles Sturt University was $90,000 per year; this was again higher than the $80,000 national average across Universities in Australia.

The CSU campuses span regional areas of New South Wales and Victoria, with the University having a presence in twelve campus locations, four regional study centres and many more partnered centres across the two states.
Campuses are located in some of the country’s fastest growing rural communities, with plenty of access to the modern facilities often available in cities, but with the added benefit of being in a relaxed rural township. Albury- Wodonga Campus
The Charles Sturt University Albury-Wodonga campus is located on the border between NSW and Victoria and is one of the biggest rural communities in the country. Just about everything is accessible from the campus, from theatres and restaurants through to world-class wineries and snowfields. Being one of the largest of the Charles Sturt University campuses, the Albury- Wodonga campus has a great range of Bachelor and Diploma level courses in a variety of subject fields, with a strong emphasis on environmental science, allied health and research studies.
Community Engagement and Wellness Centre
CSU is well known for the range of Centres provided across campus locations; with plenty of opportunities for students to take part in vital real-word experiences in their field. The CSU Community Engagement and Wellness Centre is a leading provider of that, offering services in podiatry, physiotherapy and speech pathology to the community, with students taking part in assessment, treatment and training. CSU Dental and Oral Health Clinic
Dental students at CSU also can work in a real clinical setting, through the Dental and Oral Health Clinic on the Charles Sturt University Wodonga campus. Anyone from the community can use the range of valuable dental services provided by the clinic, with both a public and private clinical setting on offer depending on patient preferences. The Murray Village is the ideal student campus facility, having everything that any student, both international or domestic, would need while living at CSU. The modern features are spacious and every room has a bed, desk and wardrobe. The shared bathroom and kitchen facilities also make this self-catered Village a great place to meet other students, make friends and create life-long memories of the University experience.
The Rothwell Cottage is a small residential building, which is located slightly further from campus. The facilities are similar to that of the Murray Village, including private rooms with shared bathroom and kitchens with individual food cupboards for each resident.
Bathurst Campus
Bathurst is a historically- rich and lively town in New South Wales, making it one of the most exciting student cities in the country. With access to a vibrant selection of cafes, bars, restaurants and events throughout the year; the CSU Bathurst campus is perfectly located to ensure you have a highly enjoyable University experience.
Bathurst Early Childhood Intervention Service (BECIS)
This invaluable service is run through CSU to provide education and therapy services to children with a disability of learning delay that effects their development in thinking, learning, communication and social and emotional settings. The Early Childhood Intervention Service at Bathurst is focused on using centre and home based therapies to children and involving family and other specialists to assist in their treatment and development. It’s a fantastic program that incorporates the knowledge of educators and University members to further the understanding around childhood.
2MCE
Charles Sturt University have a dedicated communications faculty, which helps run the community radio station, 2MCE. The ability to allow students to participate in broadcasting local news and current affairs is crucial in gaining the experience with broadcasting technology and practices when in the real world. Students can plan and produce segments, media programs and stories.
Kajulu Communications
The CSU Bathurst campus has a strong communication and creative focus and has a number of great facilities and resources that students can take part in. The professional approach to the Marketing and Advertising courses at CSU helped to develop the Kajulu Communications agency, an internationally awarded firm that produces stunning advertising and communications media.
Students have the chance to learn the real-world processes, systems and procedures of an advertising firm and develop strategies and projects with real business clients. Just some of the companies that have used the Kajulu Communications services include Arnott’s, Sony, Lynx and Electrolux. The Creative Hub
Similar to the 2MCE facilities; the CSU Creative hub is a state-of-the-art facility where students can use industry standard technology in the areas of broadcasting, control room operations and media studio. This provides hands on experience to media students in the areas of broadcasting, television production and journalism. Students can control cameras from the broadcasting room and lighting for on-camera options. Print media students can also use the online computer labs to develop work into web-based news, bulletins and internet journalism.

CSU Bathurst campus accommodation is situated right across the entire campus, with
Seven different buildings that tailor the options slightly to suit different preferences and living arrangements. Accommodation is available in catered or self-catered options. All accommodation comes with a fully furnished single room, shared bathroom and kitchen facilities as well as a mini fridge in each room.
Canberra Campus
CSU has a number of centres in Canberra that offer specialised courses for students, especially in the areas of theology and religious studies. There’s also a CSU campus that focuses on the areas of policing, customers, philosophy and Public Ethics.

Centre for Customs and Excise Studies (CCES)
This Centre for Customs and Excise Studies is the best in the World for education on customs and border management. It also publishes the World Customs Journal, the leading customs journal in the world. The School is recognised by the World Customs Organisation (WCO) as being a leading provider of research and training in the emerging issues facing border management around the world. Australian Centre for Christianity and Culture
CSU’s Australian Centre for Christianity and Culture provides a strong presence in joining the faith of Australians, society and Indigenous people together to develop a greater engagement and dialogue between different community groups in culture, religious traditions and theology. The Centre is a centre point for teaching, research and training in ecumenism which aims to develop a education program that is designed to reflect the ecumenism beliefs, values and traditions in leadership in the Christian community.
Dubbo Campus
The CSU Dubbo campus in NSW is at the forefront of the state’s regional industries and is completely surrounded by wineries, heritage sites and facilities which make it such a great place to study. Goulburn Campus
The CSU Goulburn campus provides most of the education and training to the NSW Police Force, from recruitment through to high-level police executives. Goulburn, NSW is located approximately 200km from Sydney, with the CSU campus covering over 40 hectares of land comprising of state-of-the-art law enforcement facilities and training centres.
CSU provides education in the Associate degree in Policing Practice, which, in partnership with the NSW Police force, is the ideal way to develop the skills and training needed to undergo a profession in the NSW Police department.

Advanced Driver Training Facility
As part of the police training on offer at the Charles Sturt University Goulburn campus, Advanced driver training is a large aspect of the education. The Advanced Driver Training facility includes a 2.6km circuit which reflects typical public streets that police cadets can develop driving techniques essential to police operations in the real world. It also features a Vehicle Manoeuvring Area and a Skid Pad.
Orange Campus
Orange is a regional city in the Central West region of NSW. In terms of the atmosphere, Orange is a fantastic place for students to study and enjoy the social life, with a great variety of shops, cafes, restaurants and wineries throughout the city and surrounds. The CSU Orange campus offers a number of specialised science and health science related courses including, clinical science, dental health, pharmacy, physiotherapy and agriculture. Parramatta Campus
The CSU Parramatta campus is a satellite campus located on the NSW United Theological College (UTC), a renowned centre in the Asia-Pacific region. This campus is in partnership with St Mark’s National Theological Centre in the ACT and together they provide a variety of postgraduate courses to CSU students in the city-suburb of Parramatta. The CSU campus in Parramatta features an auditorium, bookshop, lecture rooms, a Chapel and a kitchen area.
CSU Accommodation
The Centre for Ministry at UTC provides both short stay accommodation and longer term for students and United Church candidate families. Up to 36 people are able to stay in residence, which include deluxe and standard rooms that range from single to five bedroom complexes. For students, there’s also longer stay accommodation, that are available in one, two or three bedroom flats.
Port Macquarie Campus
Port Macquarie campus is another of the Charles Sturt University NSW campus locations, situated in the Lake Innes area with easy access to beaches and the shops.

Wagga Wagga Campus
The Charles Sturt University Wagga Wagga campus is by far the largest of all locations and holds significance to the University, with Charles Sturt being the first international explorer to set foot on the land. In total, the campus covers over 600 hectares with a variety of state-of-the-art centres, research institutes and facilities that cover a broad range of subject fields. The city of Wagga Wagga is situated in the Riverina region of New South Wales, with a population over 55,000 people. Being such a large city, there’s so much to do and see for students, including wineries, shops, restaurants and bars.
The Charles Sturt University Wagga campus provides undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in areas including accounting, business, the arts, education, equine, science, health, psychology and social science.
Environmental and Analytical Laboratories (EAL)
The CSU Environmental and Analytical Laboratories are custom-built facilities that provide commercial and research testing to groups such as councils, industries and companies, researchers and students. This collaborative centre focuses on chemical analysis, results interpreting, training and method development. This centre is an invaluable resource to postgraduate students and researchers, featuring world-class technologies that are an essential part of environmental science fields.
CSU Equine Centre
The CSU Equine Centre is of great importance to the Wagga Wagga campus in regional NSW. It offers a great opportunity to those passionate about horses, both students and the greater community. It features an indoor arena, 20 undercover yards, dressage area, enclosed warm up facility and an amenities block which includes a canteen. The Equine Centre at Charles Sturt University is integral for the courses in equine science and animal science subjects.
Charles Sturt Boutique Wines
This world-class winery is at the heart of Charles Sturt University’s Wine Science School and Viticulture studies. It combines traditional practices with state-of-the-art technologies to further develop the quality and recognition of wines in the NSW area and Australia at large.
The National Life Sciences Hub (NaLSH)
Charles Sturt University’s Wagga Wagga science hub is home to the National Life Sciences research, study and teaching. The areas of food, human, plant and animal health as well as environmental science are all addressed on the CSU Wagga Wagga campus. It includes teaching laboratories, over 45 research labs, a glasshouse, quarantine area and plant rooms to support all research and teaching needs. The building itself reflects the environmental commitment of the building, being registered as a Green Star certified building.
CSU Wagga Wagga Accommodation
There are eleven different accommodation buildings on the CSU Wagga Wagga campus. Options range from catered to self-catered with specific areas designated for first year students and postgraduates. All provide students with fully-furnished single rooms that have access to common areas, facilities and some with shared bathroom and kitchens. The Butler Halls College, Cottages and Stewards Halls have meal plans. The variety of residential buildings provide accommodation for a large number of students, creating a strong student living community that’s a great way to develop lasting friendships and memories that continue after University is finished.

Charkes Sturt University has plenty of study centres and learning facilities throughout the country. There’s city study centres, which provide extra support and help to students, which are available in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane. For those that struggle to attend University and opt for online study, there’s also regional centres to help you out. These are a great point of support and assistance for any difficulty you may encounter. Regional study centres at CSU can be found in Griffith, Parkes and Wangaratta.
